Short answer: before Eden Homecare 247 introduces an independent carer to a family, we review key evidence about the carer’s identity, right to work, care experience, Enhanced DBS status, references and relevant training. We also consider whether the carer’s experience and availability match the family’s stated needs.
What Eden checks
- Identity and contact details
- Right to work in the UK where applicable
- Care experience and work history
- Enhanced DBS status and supporting evidence
- References
- Relevant training and competency evidence
- Availability and suitability for the family’s requirements
How matching works
A family tells Eden what support is needed, where the support is required and when it is needed. We use that information to identify suitable independent carers and make an introduction when an appropriate match is available. Families can then speak with the carer before deciding whether to proceed.
Who employs or pays the independent carer?
Eden provides an introduction and matching service. After an introduction, the family and independent carer agree their ongoing working arrangement and rate directly. Eden’s one-off introduction and matching fee is separate from the carer’s ongoing charges.
Why these checks matter
Families should not have to begin from a blank sheet of paper when looking for support. Eden’s process is designed to make the search clearer by reviewing key information before an introduction is made, while still allowing the family to speak with the carer and make its own decision.
